What a crazy weekend this turned out to be! First, Megan and Davey showed up thursday for a quick vacation. Although Megans compulsive cleaning habits proved annoying to some, it was fun to visit and play for a few days. Friday morning Dylan caught a HUGE large mouth bass (fish) at the ward breakfast--the one where we showed up too late to get any breakfast-- and Katy instantly had it in her hands, without a second thought about how slimy it would be or how she would smell of fish all day long. Later on we all got ready for friends to come over and play...we had the Middletons (and Ryan Henry), the Carters, The Achees, Bill, Ryan, and AJ Palmer, and the ever fabulous McGettigan family. The Kroffs were sadly missed due to missionaries in Folsom needing a place to spend the holiday...
Dad grilled up some amazing ribs (5 racks!) and some classic chicken... everyone swam and had a great time, and we finished the night off with some home made fireworks made from Soda and mentos (courtesy of the Achees) since we couldn't have and real fireworks...but then we were surprised with a nice view of the Local carnival fireworks so it really felt like Independence Day.
Tanner had fun making the cats chase a rope around...
